Intellectual health, like emotional health, is a part of our overall mental health. However, Intellectual health focuses on maintaining and improving healthy functioning of our congitive abilites. This is a critical component of our wellbeing, as it can heavily influence and be influenced by the other components.
Naturally, one may look to things such as reading, writing, and learning opportunities as way to aide their intellectual wellbeing. This is true; however, factors within other components, such as nutrition, physical activity, mindfulness, and social connection also contribute significantly.
