Our latest assignment has asked us to “remix” anything of our choosing.
So, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to mix up my current workout routine!
Currently, I focus almost entirely on cardio and yoga, as these are activities that I find most enjoyable, and ones that I find myself continuously excited and motivated to do! (They are also both excellent stress relievers for me).
But, for the sake of this assignment I decided to go outside my comfort zone, and (re)mix it up!
Therefore, I have developed a routine by combining favourite workouts from each of the Kardashian/ Jenner sisters.
I will be taking moves/ best practices from each sister, to create a full body workout.
Creating the Workout:
First up, Kim.
From a quick google search, I find that Kim Kardashian’s exercise regime appears to be the opposite of mine, as she focuses 85% of her energy on weight training. She also dedicates two days entirely to training lower body.
Therefore, I feel its only fitting to choose weighted hip thrusts and sumo deadlifts from Kim K’s routine, to add to mine.
Next up, Kendall.
When it comes to fitness, Kendall is best known for her famous ab routine. So naturally, I had to include some of her favourite core movements into my workout.
From her routine, I will be incorporating bicycle crunches, frog crunches, and side planks.
Next, we have Khloe.
Khloe, like myself, tends to focus much of her time on cardio. She has detailed and unique workouts for each day of the week, but moves that are frequent in her regiment include forearm planks, mountain climbers, and jumping rope.
Therefore, these are the moves from her routine that I’ll be adding to mine.
Next up, Kourtney.
Now Kourtney’s routine seems more like something I would regularly try out. She focuses on HIIT training, and is a a big fan of the use of resistance bands.
Therefore, from Kourtney’s regiment I will be adding leg lifts/ kickbacks, with use of a resistance band.
Kourtney also prefers to workout outdoors whenever possible, so I will be doing this entire workout in my yard!
Finally, there is one sister who is notoriously not a fan of working out, which is Kylie.
However, Kylie will often workout with Kourtney and her trainer, or follow along to this simple routine.
From her routine, I will be incorporating lat pull-downs, ball throws, and bicep curls into my workout – in order to include some upper body work.
After reviewing each sister’s workout, I have created a “remix” that I think will make for a killer full body workout!
